Before You Leave
Download important apps: Many businesses use Wise for international currency transfers, however, cash is still king. Make sure you download the offline maps through Google Maps and Waze.
Notify your bank/credit cards
Get some Indonesian rupiah: DO NOT USE THE CURRENCY EXCHANGE AT THE AIRPORT. It is a huge ripoff.
Check phone/data options: I recommend Airalo for the best rates. Easy to install too!
Medications: Some medications are not legal in Bali. eg. I take ADHD meds and will obtain a doctor’s note explicitly stating that these are prescribed to me.

Slowly move away, don’t run away if one approaches
