Watercolor Mermaid Scales is my top seller on Spoonflower with over 2500 favourites. It is also on the first page in the categories 'watercolor' and 'mermaid' on Spoonflower. I have lost count of the amount of small businesses that have used it for their products and I have also seen it replicated by many other designers and companies. To compete with other designs on spoonflower, I made a matching mermaids pattern in the same colours.

It was the first pattern I ever designed back in 2017, two years before I finished design school. I designed it in Illustrator prompted by Spoonflower's design challenge "Whimsical Watercolor Fantasy Creatures." I did not have the skillset I have now so looking back I can't believe how messy the design process was as a baby designer (the original file is over 100GB).
